What we do

We specialise in three key sectors: Sports; Media; Digital. Geographically, we will invest wherever we have market knowledge and connections.

We invest in early stage businesses with a proven concept; some of these businesses might have encountered some issues that are slowing progress or even threatening the company's future.

Ingram Enterprise has one or two meetings to generally understand the business and check out the chemistry and pretty quickly, we decide if we want to invest.

If Ingram Enterprise invests, it seeks a substantial minority stake but invests a relatively small amount of money. Not surprisingly, investee companies invite us to join them not just for our money, but also for our ideas, know-how and connections. Once in, our aim is to lift the drain covers and sort out any blockages.

Apart from Chris Ingram's involvement, a senior executive is assigned who will become involved in examining the operations and helping to turns things around.

The degree of involvement depends on the issues encountered and the help required. On occasions as partners, we have been executive chairman or acted as a temporary MD in an investee company; we do not seek this level of involvement and we would not usually expect this to be necessary but it demonstrates we will do whatever it takes to get the company growing quickly and to maintain that momentum.

The intention is always the same: get the company on track; uncover new opportunities and offer help to the management team, ensuring they can fully concentrate on building value in their business for our mutual benefit.

If you think that your business fits the model we would like to hear from you.
