Sport – So Wales has dropped its bid for the 2026 Commonwealth Games citing ‘current uncertainty as a result of the Brexit vote.’

Come on!! Uncertainty till 2026?! A Games for the COMMONWEALTH being hit in 10 years’ time by the current withdrawal from the EUROPEAN Union?

I don’t think so.

Why didn’t they man up and admit that an estimated cost of £1.3 – 1.5 billion is a huge stretch for a country with a population of only 3.1 million.

There is no shame in that and it sounds a pretty sensible decision.
